The Zychion Battle
Under a grey sky, the air heavy with the smell of
death, a small group of senior officials from Calypso’s fledgling government surveyed the Zychion landscape before them. Dismembered pieces of huge fighting machines lay alongside the rubble of Zychion’s once glittering towers, and between them, haphazard and bloodied, were the remains of countless brave colonists who had perished fighting a Robot Army which had attacked the city without warning that night.

Communications
Grim faced, Calypso’s first Governor, Simon Telestra turned to his aide. “Get on to Earth and tell them we need help. And tell them to make it fast, otherwise there won’t be a colony left for them to save.”

The Forces
Three months later the first forces arrived from the Federal Republic of Earth. Across Calypso squadrons of Shock Troopers began to engage the Robot Army, gradually forcing it back away from areas of population, despite sustaining huge losses. Under intense fighting conditions various teams of special forces also arrived from Earth, including the fabled Delta Force. With a history dating back to some of the regional conflicts that plagued Earth during the 20th century, the modern Delta Force was a highly trained and equipped mobile insertion unit that could operate autonomously in extreme combat scenarios. This background meant that Delta Force was ideally positioned to engage the Robot Army. In numerous engagements across Calypso, including many famous campaigns like the PVP3 Rig Recapture, Delta Force disrupted, prevented and destroyed robot operations. Within this group of highly decorated fighters a core of individuals began to emerge; uniquely experienced soldiers with unrivalled skills and capabilities. Known as the Delta Force Elite, these were the fighters that all others aspired to match, and their reputation preceded them across the battlefields of Calypso.

Present
Today, many of these fighters remain on Calypso. Although the Robot threat has subsided, sporadic attacks still take place. Of more concern is the damage to the Calypso society caused by the war, with mutant creatures, aggressive fauna and rogue and criminal human elements all seeking to make life for new colonists tough and challenging. With an expanded portfolio of operations Delta Force Elite exists to protect humanity from all of these threats and more.
